Private jet charter
Your own aircraft between any two airports in India, and onward to Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, the Maldives or the Gulf, on your timetable.
Which aircraft
From turboprops to long-range jets
The right aircraft depends on the distance, the number of passengers, the luggage and the runway. We suggest the category; the operator confirms the exact aircraft.
- Turboprops
- King Air, Pilatus PC-12. Short runways and short hops, such as Delhi to Khajuraho or Jaisalmer.
- Light jets
- Citation, Phenom. Small groups on one- to two-hour flights.
- Mid-size jets
- Hawker, Learjet. More cabin and luggage space, for longer domestic flights.
- Heavy jets
- Challenger, Falcon. Larger groups of up to about 16, and flights to the Gulf, South East Asia or Europe.
Jet or helicopter?
A simple rule
For more than about 500 km between two airports, a jet is faster and more comfortable. For shorter hops, or places without a runway, a helicopter is usually the better choice. Jets cruise at 600 to 900 km/h, high above the weather.
Not sure? Tell us the trip and we will suggest both, with the time and the price of each.
Before you fly
Timing and documents
- How far ahead
- Ideally 24 to 48 hours. At the main airports a domestic jet can sometimes be ready in four to six hours. International flights and restricted airfields need four to seven working days.
- Identity
- Indian citizens need a government photo ID. Foreign visitors need a passport with a valid Indian visa.
- Passenger list
- Full names, ages, gender and nationalities are sent to the authorities before the flight is cleared, so we ask for them early.
- Luggage
- Tell us the number and size of bags when you ask for a quote. Soft bags fit small aircraft best.
In the quote
What the price includes
A charter is priced for the aircraft, not per seat. The quote shows the flight hours and what comes with them, so you can compare like with like:
- Fuel, landing, parking and terminal charges
- Crew allowances for overnight stays
- Standard catering on board
- GST, typically 18% on charters in India
Positioning (the aircraft flying empty to meet you) is part of the price, which is why the same route can cost different amounts on different days.

Tell us the date, the route and how many are flying
We reply with aircraft options and a written quote, usually the same day. Asking costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
