The domes and minarets of the Jama Masjid in Old Delhi

Day trips from Delhi

A day out of Delhi

In Delhi for work, or with a day before your flight? Each of these trips is private, with a driver and a guide, and back the same evening.

Choose a day

Five days we plan most often

About 1 h 40 by fast train, or 3 to 4 hours by road

Agra and the Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort and lunch in Agra, back in Delhi for dinner. Fatehpur Sikri can be added on the way back if you go by road.

The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays.

In the city

Old and New Delhi

The lanes of Old Delhi by cycle-rickshaw, the Jama Masjid and the spice market, then Humayun's Tomb, the Lodhi gardens and the Qutub Minar.

A good first day, or a day between meetings.

In the city, half a day

A food walk in Old Delhi

Breakfast or an evening walk through the old city with a food guide: parathas, kebabs, chaat and sweets from family shops that have been open for generations.

Can be done as a morning or an evening.

About 3 hours by road

Mathura and Vrindavan

The birthplace of Krishna and the temple town where he grew up, with hundreds of temples and evening worship. Most colourful around Holi and Janmashtami.

Combine with Agra for a long day.

About 1 to 1½ hours by road

Sultanpur National Park

A wetland bird reserve on the edge of Gurugram. In winter, thousands of migrating birds arrive from Central Asia and Siberia. Early morning, back by lunch.

Best from November to March.

How it works

Private, and arranged around you

We pick you up from your hotel or office and bring you back. The car, the driver, the guide, entry tickets and train tickets are arranged in advance; you choose the start time.

Day trips can be booked on their own or added to a longer journey. Tell us the date and how many of you there are, and we send a price the same day.
