Empty-leg flights
Empty-leg flights
When a jet flies empty to pick up its next passengers, the seats can be sold for that one-way flight, often for much less than a full charter.
How they work
A good deal for flexible travellers
An empty leg exists because another charter does. The route, the date and the time are fixed by that charter, and they can change if it changes.
They suit travellers with some flexibility: a one-way flight that matches your plans, or a day or two either side. The most frequent are between Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Udaipur.
The conditions
Before you book
- Short notice
- Empty legs are published a few days, sometimes a few hours, before the flight.
- Payment
- Paid in full in advance, and confirmed only when the operator confirms in writing.
- If it moves
- If the main charter changes, the empty leg can move or disappear. If the operator cancels, you are refunded in full, and we help you find another way to travel.
- Only one way
- Plan your return separately, by a scheduled flight or another charter.
Hear about them
Tell us your route
Send us the route and the dates you have in mind. When an empty leg comes up that fits, we tell you straight away, with the aircraft and the price.
Request a flight
Tell us the date, the route and how many are flying
We reply with aircraft options and a written quote, usually the same day. Asking costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
