India · Sample journey
Delhi, the Taj Mahal at sunrise, three days in Jaipur and two by the lake in Udaipur: the classic first visit, at a pace that leaves room to enjoy it.
Patrika Gate, Jaipur
The journey
Most first visits to India cover Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, the "Golden Triangle", in five or six days. We add two nights in Udaipur, because after three busy cities the lake and its palaces are the best place to slow down.
The days are planned so that you see the great sights early, before the heat and the crowds, and have the afternoons for yourself. Your driver stays with you from Delhi to Jaipur; Udaipur is a short flight.
