A brief from the treating doctor
What the flight must support: a stretcher, oxygen, a ventilator, infection precautions, a doctor or nurse on board.

Air ambulance
Moving a patient to a specialist hospital in another city, or home to their own country, with the right aircraft, equipment and medical team.
In an emergency
If someone's life is in danger, call the local emergency number first: 112 in India. An air ambulance takes planning and is not a first response.
If you have travel insurance, call your insurer's assistance line next. Many insurers organise and pay for medical flights themselves, and they need to approve them before they happen.
If you are travelling with us, call the contact number in your travel documents at any hour. We work with the doctors, the insurer and the operator so you do not have to.
How it works
1
What the flight must support: a stretcher, oxygen, a ventilator, infection precautions, a doctor or nurse on board.
2
Not every aircraft can take a stretcher and a medical team. We ask DGCA-approved operators what they can provide, and tell you plainly if a requirement cannot be met.
3
A ground ambulance from the hospital to the aircraft, and from the aircraft to the receiving hospital, which must have accepted the patient.
4
Identity documents for the patient and anyone travelling with them. For international flights, a fit-to-fly certificate, permits and immigration formalities.

Request a flight
We reply with aircraft options and a written quote, usually the same day. Asking costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
