Char Dham by helicopter
The Char Dham by private helicopter
Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath in a few days instead of two weeks on mountain roads, with the hotels, drivers and a weather plan arranged around the flights.
How it works
A private charter, not a shuttle seat
A private charter is a helicopter for your group alone. Most yatras start from Dehradun, a short drive or flight from Delhi, though the operator confirms the departure point for each date.
A charter is separate from the official shrine shuttles and does not include darshan tickets or queue passes. Landing near each shrine depends on the pad, the time window and the passenger list the authorities approve; where a direct landing is not possible, we use the nearest approved helipad and a short road transfer.
Before you book
What to know
- Season
- The shrines open from about late April or May until around Diwali in October or November. The exact dates are set each year.
- Registration
- Every pilgrim must register with the Uttarakhand government before the yatra. We help you with it.
- Passengers and weight
- Helicopters carry less at altitude and in heat, so the operator sets the number of passengers and the weight for each flight. Expect to be weighed with your bags.
- Luggage
- One soft bag each. Warm clothes and offerings should be listed in advance.
- Mobility
- Tell us early about any difficulty walking or climbing: it changes the choice of helipads and how we plan the transfers.
Weather
Always a plan B
Cloud, wind and rain can stop mountain flights even in the open season, and the pilot has the final word. We build a spare day or a road alternative into every Char Dham itinerary, especially when a puja is fixed for a particular time.
Request a flight
Tell us the date, the route and how many are flying
We reply with aircraft options and a written quote, usually the same day. Asking costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
