What you love
River journeys
A week on the Brahmaputra between tea gardens and rhino country, the Ganges from Kolkata upstream, or a houseboat in Kerala: India from the water is slower, quieter and closer to village life.
River cruises in India use small ships with a few dozen cabins, so the landings are at villages and temples rather than ports. Most run from October to March, when the water is high enough and the weather is cool.
For a shorter time on the water, a private houseboat on Kerala's backwaters or a dawn boat on the Ganges at Varanasi fits easily into any journey.

How we plan it
What we take care of
The right ship
Cruise ships differ in size and style; we help you choose and book the cabins.
Land and water
We build the cruise into a wider journey, with the days before and after on land.

We use a few houseboat owners whose boats, crews and food we trust.
