Booking conditions

About these conditions

These conditions apply when you book a trip with TravelZeg Bespoke, a unit of SkyZeg Pvt Ltd, India ("we"). Travel agents and tour operators who book on behalf of their clients work under a separate agreement.

Quotes and prices

Your quote shows the full price of the trip as planned, including taxes, and is valid for the period shown on it. Prices are in the currency shown on your quote. They are based on hotel and transport rates on the date of the quote and are fixed once your booking is confirmed.

Booking and payment

Your booking is confirmed when we have received the deposit and confirmed the arrangements to you in writing. The deposit is shown on your quote and is due when you confirm. The balance is due 70 days before you arrive; if you book within 70 days of arrival, the full price is due when you confirm. If the balance is not paid on time, we may cancel the booking and apply the cancellation charges below.

If you change your trip

Tell us in writing. We will do our best to make the change. If a hotel or supplier charges for it, we pass that charge on to you. For changes after confirmation we may also charge an amendment fee. We always tell you the cost before making the change.

If you cancel

Tell us in writing. The charges depend on how long before your arrival we receive your cancellation: 90 days or more, you lose the deposit; 60 to 89 days, 50% of the total price; 45 to 59 days, 75%; 44 days or less, or if you do not arrive, 100%. The charge is never less than the deposit. Some items cannot be refunded once booked, such as some train and flight tickets and festival-period hotels; we tell you which when you book.

If we change or cancel

Occasionally we have to change part of a trip, for example if a hotel closes or a road is blocked. We tell you as soon as we know and offer an alternative of the same standard. If we have to cancel your trip, we offer you another trip or a full refund of what you have paid us.

We are not responsible for changes caused by events beyond our control, such as extreme weather, natural disasters, strikes, civil unrest or government decisions, but we will always help you find a way through.

Passports, visas and health

You are responsible for having a valid passport, the visas you need and the vaccinations recommended for your trip. We arrange Bhutan visas and the permits for restricted areas, and tell you how to apply for the others, but the decision to issue a visa belongs to the authorities.

Travel insurance

Every traveller must have insurance that covers medical treatment, evacuation and cancellation for the whole trip.

During your trip

Please follow the safety advice of your guides and drivers and respect local customs. We may end our services to anyone whose behaviour puts others at risk.

If something goes wrong

Tell your contact straight away so we can put it right on the spot. If you are still not satisfied, write to us within 30 days of your return and we will reply in full.

Our responsibility

We choose hotels, guides, drivers and other suppliers with care and check them regularly. We are not responsible for delays, changes or costs caused by events outside our control, such as bad weather, strikes, natural disasters, epidemics or government action, but we will always help you on the spot.

Law

These conditions are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of New Delhi have jurisdiction. If you live in the European Union, you keep any rights the law of your country gives you that cannot be removed by contract.

The text and photographs on this website belong to TravelZeg or to the photographers credited, and may not be reused without permission. We take care to keep the information accurate, but details such as opening times, festival dates and entry rules change: we confirm them when you book.
