Start with the day itself
We ask where you would like to be on the day you are celebrating, and work outwards from there. A dinner on the ramparts of a fort, a boat at sunset in Udaipur, a quiet morning in a village: once we know the moment, the rest of the route falls into place around it.
Choose the setting
Rajasthan is made for celebrations. Its palace and fort hotels can set a private dinner in a courtyard or on a rooftop, with musicians from a local family, lamps and flowers. In the smaller forts, the family who owns it may join you.
Keep the days around it easy
We avoid long drives the day before and the day after, so that the celebration does not happen at the end of a tiring day. Two or three nights in the same place around the date is ideal.
The surprise
If the celebration is a surprise for someone you are travelling with, tell us in confidence. We arrange it with the hotel and the guide, and the person being celebrated hears nothing about it until the evening.
